Melina’s Fresh Pasta is seeking outgoing, friendly, reliable and detail-oriented people to join our team. Melina’s Fresh Pasta is the only fresh pasta shop in the Triangle – now in our 15th year. We make ravioli, cut pasta, gnocchi, sauces, baked meals and more. Winner of Best Overall Made in NC product and Best of Durham 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025.
Melina’s Fresh Pasta Market & Shop Staff
Melina’s is looking for Saturday staff to help us bring pasta to the people. We are looking to fill 1-2 positions:
Saturday markets – ~630am to 130pm (changes to 730am to 130pm in the winter)
Saturday Shop - ~1030am to 430pm
The SHOP STAFF will work in the pasta shop selling pasta, packaging and cleaning during their shift.
For both positions - Consistent Saturday availability required. Days off with advanced notice are ok.
MARKET STAFF Responsibilities:
- Load coolers with pasta, load vehicle with supplies and market site
- Set up stand tent, table, display signs, etc.
- Independently operate stand in accordance with company Policies & Procedures.
- Assist and collect money from customers and educate customers on product and brand
- Unload stand, return to shop, restock unsold pasta in cooler and put away supplies
- Complete all data in inventory sheet
- Count money accurately
- Arrive to pasta shop 90-120 minutes prior to start of market to load
- Attend annual market meetings as needed
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs, sometimes working outside for long hours, potentially under adverse weather conditions.
- Must have a cell phone and be able to check and return calls and email from off-site locations.
- Must have reliable transportation - your own car & ability to travel between multiple work locations.
6-8 hours per week
You may be asked to alternate markets across the area based on availability and company need.

Pasta making Classes – helping to set up, clean and assist
If classes are not sold out – you may take a class for free
You can choose to get paid or work 2 classes for 1 class ticket credit and can accumulate these to bring
guests
